The people of Nicaragua are in great need. The pandemic stopped tourists, visitors and trade, which meant that jobs normally available in the tourism and service industry were scarce and the trickle down effect has impacted a population that already lives in poverty. The unemployment rate is normally around 60-70%- and it is impossible to understand how difficult life is for Nicaraguans now.. It might feel overwhelming. but the the people of Nicaragua continue to live in faith and hope, knowing that God provides.

DonationsDonations can be sent to "Team Zion" care of:
Redeemer Lutheran Church, 78 John St W, Waterloo, ON N2L 1B8 Any contribution is appreciated. On average it costs about $35.00 per child, per week to supply materials and snacks. $100.00 provides a moderate stipend to the local Nicaragua Pastors and Deaconesses to cover their time and travel. That means with a very modest donation you can make it possible for many children to be fed with the Bread of Life and have bread for their tummy. |
